Antonio and Shylock
In "The Merchant of Venice", by William Shakespeare,  the merchant Antonio and the lender Shylock  feud and argue.  They disagree nad fight with each other for many reasons.  However , it is obvious that their religious differences are contentious.  Antonio, a Christian, does not lend money with interest because ,as a Christian he feels it is wrong.  Shylock, however, does lend with intrest because he is Jewish.  The distain for each other is highlighted when Antonio meets Shylock because Antonio is insuring one of Shylock's loans.  When they meet Shylock insults Antonio as Antonio had harassed him in the past.
