 Why is Henry V History
Henry V is a history because it is based of off historical events and is written about an English Monarch.  Shakespeare's history's are defined by being loosely based on real events and are about English monarchs.  Therefore, plays such as Antony and Cleopatra and Julius Ceaser are not considered histories.  Shakespeare's histories rarely contain female characters.  There are a few in Henry V but, they have very small spoken roles and are not very important to the plot.
